Ben brings a background in higher education, public, and private sector organizations, along with experience as a Marine Corps Combat Veteran; he holds graduate degrees in public administration and social work from USC, plus a doctorate from USC's Sol Price School of Public Policy, where his dissertation examined policy-driven solutions for preventing and recognizing homicide and suicide risk among Veteran and military populations. He has extensive experience in crisis response, having served on Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and trauma recovery teams.
